How does the Canada’s Largest Ribfest 50/50 Raffle work?

The 50/50 draw administered by Rotary Burlington Lakeshore is a raffle licensed by the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), where individuals purchase ticket(s) for the opportunity to win 50% of the total money raised through the sale of 50/50 tickets for that draw.

What cause does raffle proceeds support?

All proceeds from the Canada’s Largest Ribfest 50/50 Raffle will benefit the Carpenter Hospice.  

Who is eligible to buy 50/50 draw tickets?

Ticket purchasers must be 18 years or older to enter the Canada’s Largest Ribfest 50/50 Raffle.

The following groups are prohibited from purchasing a ticket in the Canada’s Largest Ribfest 50/50 Raffle:

·      Board members of Rotary Burlington Lakeshore

·      Board members of Carpenter Hospice

·      Employees of registered gaming suppliers

Where can I purchase tickets for the 50/50 draw?

Tickets may be purchased online at 5050rotary.com or at the following locations during sales hours:

 

·      Spencer Smith Park – 1450 Lakeshore Road, Burlington ON

o   August 30 – September 1, 2019 – 11:00am-10:00pm

o   September 2, 2019 – 11:00am-6:00pm

Can I order a ticket if I do not live in Ontario?

The lottery is intended for Ontario residents. Purchasers must be in the province of Ontario to order tickets.

How is the winning number drawn?

A single ticket number will be selected by a Random Number Generation (RNG) system from all raffle numbers sold during the duration of the draw for each prize. The draw will be conducted at Spencer Smith Park, located at 1450 Lakeshore Road, Burlington, Ontario.

Where is the winning number posted?

The winning ticket number will be posted to canadaslargestribfest.com and will also be announced immediately following the completion of the draw on the stage at Spencer Smith Park, along with the prize amount. The winner does not have to be present for the prize announcement to claim the lottery prize. The winner will also be contacted by phone.

How will winners be notified?

All winners will be contacted by phone immediately following the announcement of the winning ticket numbers.

How long do I have to claim my prize?

Prizes must be claimed within six (6) months of the final draw date.

What if I lose my ticket?

You do not need your ticket to claim your prize. Your phone number is recorded in the database along with your ticket number, which is proof enough.

What is the deadline for the Canada’s Largest Ribfest 50/50 Raffle?

The 50/50 Draw ticket sales deadline is 6:00 p.m. on September 2, 2019.
